Youth Councils in Lapland 

There are 16 Youth Councils in Lapland at the moment: in Enontekiö, Inari, Kemi, Kemijärvi, Keminmaa, Kolari, Posio, Ranua, Rovaniemi, Salla, Simo, Sodankylä, Tervola,  Tornio, Utsjoki and Ylitornio.

Each Youth Council has own peculiar principles and ways of act. In one municipality the Youth Council is giving guidelines for shop stewards and the local organization and in other the youth council is arranging events and actions for young people in that area. However all youth councils have one common intention, to improve the status of youth in general.

Each Youth Council has their representants in the Youth Forum of Lapland, which assembles two times in a year.
